GLYCOLIC SKIN PEEL
Glycolic is an acid derived from sugar cane. It is a
powerful exfolliant that effectively removes the build up of dead skin
cells
on the outer layer of the skin. Having a tiny molecular structure it is
able to penetrate the epidermis and stimulate fibroblast activity, thereby
increasing the production of new collagen cells. It allows increased permeability
therefore improving penetration of clinically based skincare products.
For this reason it makes an ideal partner to mesotherapy, giving the skin
the ultimate treat.
Whilst glycolic is great for keeping the skin in excellent condition they are the perfect antidote to acne and pigmentation. Glycolic has superb antibacterial properties that can attack the acne bacteria, help neutralise oily skin and give the skin a deep clean. This can all be achieved without leaving the skin dry and irritated. When combined with take home products great results can be achieved. Similarly with pigmentary issues, peels combined with a take home regime can produce great results in the long term. Six treatments, weekly or fortnightly, are usually advised. For more problematic skin more treatments will be necessary.
The peel takes about 20 minutes to carry out, there will be no peeling, and so you may simply return to work with a healthy, smooth and glowing complexion.
AGERA SKIN PEEL
Agera is superficial but proliferative peel that is non-
irritating and will not cause the skin to shed. The treatment works deep
in the skin to stimulate fibroblasts which will produce new collagen and
elastin, cells that deplete as we age. Combined with
the skincare range these treatments can be optimised to give the most
favourable outcome.
The vitamin c peel in this range is ideal for rosacea or the most sensitive
of skins. These peels can work very well on acne
and pigmentation also. Usually a course of 6 treatments is advised, but
for more problematic skin more treatments may be necessary. These are
recommended at weekly or fortnightly intervals.
The procedure takes about 30 minutes and is pain free, you will leave
the clinic with squeaky clean, super soft, healthier
looking skin.
INNOVATION CONCEPT PEEL-ICP
This is considered to be a superficial/medium depth peel.
It will not penetrate to the depths of the stronger TCA peel, but will
still produce excellent results. It can help pigmentation, sun damage,
acne, acne pigmentation, blemishes and offer success
as an anti-ageing treatment. It will generally improve skin condition,
texture and tone.
The peel is applied in clinic and the rest of the treatment is carried
out at home. A kit containing take-home products is provided that will
continue the treatment at home over the next month. Some initial peeling
will take place and by the end of the first week the skin will be fully
healed and ready for the next phase of at-home products. It should not
be necessary to take time
off work, but it may be favourable to have treatment on a Friday have
a quiet weekend and return to work on Monday.
TCA SKIN PEEL
Trichloracetic acid (TCA) is the strongest skin peel
used by the Glow Skin Clinics. It provides a safe medium depth peel.
It is able to provide excellent results for fine lines, pigmentation,
sun damage and acne. This type of peel will produce more dramatic results
than the more superficial peels.
Four treatments are required, with a week to two weeks
between each treatment. This treatment will make you peel but
should not prevent you from working. Regular use of moisturiser will aid
recovery and make up may be used. New collagen
is produced and a slightly tighter skin tone can be achieved.
